ME: Hi Alison, thank you for agreeing to this interview. Tell us a little about yourself and your background?
ALISON MELLO: I'm originally from New Bedford MA. I'm former Army National Guard and my husband is active Army and now that he's about to retire we are moving my family to sunny Florida where we will settle and enjoy the warm weather.
I love to read and write, but I also love cheering my son on at his various sports. I also enjoy spending time practicing with him when I'm not busy working.

ME: What genre do you write?
ALISON MELLO: Military romance and Romantic Suspense

ME: What are you working on at the minute?

ALISON MELLO: I have three WIPs I'm working on. The first is the final book in the Club Thrive Series: Predator. I'm also working on breaking into to new genres. I have a sports romance and an erotica I'm working on. All three books will release in 2018.

ME:  Can you share a little of your current work with us?
ALISON MELLO: Sure! Here's an excerpt from Club Thrive: Agenda
“It smells yummy in here, what are you making?”
“Well, there’s coffee in the pot, and I’m making bacon, pancakes, and scrambled eggs. I thought I’d surprise you with brunch in bed, but I guess you surprised me,” I say, trying to see her over my shoulder.
She slips away to make her coffee, and when I look over, she’s wearing nothing but one of my t-shirts. I know she’s not wearing anything under it because when she reaches up to get a coffee cup from the cabinet, I get a glimpse of her bare ass and it makes my cock stir. I mentally talk myself down for now, trying to concentrate on not burning our food. “What are your plans for tonight?”

She pours her coffee. “I don’t know. I think we’re going to binge watch some shows on Netflix and order takeout.”
“Sounds like fun,” I pour egg mixture into the pan. I’m almost done and I’m glad, because I’m starving, and I’m sure she is too. We haven’t eaten since dinner last night, and it’s already almost eleven.
“I have a few other things in mind that sound like fun too, but I think we better eat first.” She grabs my cock through the lounge pants I’m wearing.

“Easy, woman. My cock is already aching, and I know for a fact you’re wearing absolutely nothing under that t-shirt of mine.” My voice is raspy. “Breakfast is ready.” She gives me a devilish smile removing her hand from my cock to take her plate. When she gets to the table, she puts her plate down, then purposely drops her napkin. She then proceeds to bend over, picking it up to reveal her gorgeous ass and glistening pussy. She doesn’t realize that I’m now right behind her until I slap her ass hard enough to leave a beautiful pink mark on her cheek. She yelps, quickly standing. She turns to me with a grin on her face. “I’m claiming that ass after breakfast since you want to be such a tease.” Her brows shoot up.

I wink at her and take my seat to eat. I’m now starving, and for more than just the food in front of me. I can’t help but wonder if she’s excited or nervous. I’ve claimed her ass once before and she seemed to enjoy it as much as I do, but she’s still tight.

I finish my breakfast before she’s even half done with hers. I pull the elastic from my hair and lean back in my chair, watching her as she slowly continues to eat. I’m stalking every move she makes, her fork goes to her mouth, her luscious lips wrap around the fork as she bites on some eggs. I envision her lips wrapped around my cock. It twitches in my pants. I’m now fully hard. I take a deep breath, biting my lip. She knows what she’s doing. I can see her fighting her smile.
I feel she’s had enough, so I stand from the table and scoop her up over my shoulder. She giggles and squeals as I carry her off to our room. I place her down on the center of my black four poster bed and warn, “Do not move.” I run to our closet to grab some straps to tie her down with. First, I restrain her wrists, then I grab her right leg, tying the strap around her thigh just above her knee. I attach the opposite end of the strap to the post above her wrist strap. I repeat the same thing on the other side.
Standing back, I admire my handy work. She looks beautiful staring up at me from our huge bed. She’s excited and nervous at the same time, but she’s seen enough. I slip my shirt up over her eyes so she can no longer see. Her breathing has picked up and she whimpers when she realizes what I’m doing. I whisper in her ear, “Shh, baby, I’ll always take care of you. I promise.”
I wander toward the closet to grab some toys, I ditch my lounge pants along the way, my cock fully erect, pointing to my belly button. I take my time building up her anticipation. When I finally get back she’s so excited her juices are dripping from her pussy down to her ass, and it causes my cock to ache. I can’t wait to be buried deep inside her, but first I need to taste her. Kneeling on the bed between her legs, I slowly run my finger from her ankle up to the inside of her thigh. She gasps when I don’t touch her wet, wanting pussy. Lowering myself, I press my tongue to her anus and lick my way up through her folds to her hardened clit. She tastes so damn good, I can’t get enough. I continue sucking and nibbling on her clit as I work the tip of the butt plug into her ass to stretch her out. She’s
whimpering and panting as I continue working her clit and her ass at the same time. The sounds coming from her mouth turn me on so bad my balls throb. Before I know it, she’s screaming my name and coming all over my tongue. I press the plug in a bit further as she tries to squirm from my non-stop assault on her clit.
“Stone, please,” she moans.
“Please?” I question. “Do you want more?”
“Yes, I want to feel you inside me.”
“Oh you will, trust me, baby. But I’m still hungry for more.” Turning on her favorite vibrator, I slowly press it inside her warm pussy and lower my lips to her clit.
“Oh my, God, Stone. It’s too much,” she screams.
“Shh, just relax and enjoy, baby.”

ME: Which actor/actress would you like to see playing the lead character from your most recent book?
ALISON MELLO: For Stone...I think Chris Hemsworth would be good!

ME: While you were writing, do you ever feel as if you were one of the characters?
ALISON MELLO: Sometimes sure and the reasons why are different with each character

ME: When did you decide to become a writer?
ALISON MELLO: A little over two years ago.

ME: Which writers inspire you?

ALISON MELLO: E.L. James, Sylvia Day, Meredith Wild, K. Bromberg and even many indie authors like Cory Cyr.

ME: Do you write on a typewriter, computer, dictate or longhand?
ALISON MELLO: Computer

ME: Do you work to an outline or plot or do you prefer to just see where an idea takes you?
ALISON MELLO: Oh no...I sit and let my characters take over.

ME: Do you read much and if so who are your favorite authors.
ALISON MELLO: I read a ton! Kindle Alexander, K. Bromberg, Heather Dalhgren, Logan Chance. To be honest I'll read any author once. I love checking out new indie authors.

ME: What book are you reading now?
ALISON MELLO: I just finished Mass Casualty by Derek Cromwell.

ME: Do you think that giving books away free works and why?
ALISON MELLO: Depends on how it was given away to be honest. I do like offering a book for free to readers. It gives them a chance to see what I have to offer, but if they take the freebie and tuck it away then no. TBR lists are really long, so I think giving them away works best when they've had a chance to interact with me, not just see an ad for my free book so they click download.

ME: How do you relax?
ALISON MELLO: I don't...LOL...just kidding. My life is pretty hectic so my relax time is usually at night when I read for about 20 minutes before bed.

ME: What is your favorite quote?
ALISON MELLO: "Go big or go home." I'm an all-in type of person. I will put my everything into whatever I'm doing.

ME: What advice would you give to aspiring writers?
ALISON MELLO: Go for it! If you have a story in mind sit down and write it. Hook up with authors you're friends with in the indie community and ask for help. That's exactly how I got started. I had written four chapters asked friends to read it and some authors helped me format it correctly.

ME: What does your writing process look like?

ALISON MELLO: I sit with a cup of coffee, review where I left off and then I just start typing. I usually have a snack with me. Once the chapter is finished it's uploaded to my google docs to back it up. There isn't much to it.

ME: What is your least favorite part of the publishing / writing process?
ALISON MELLO: The blurb! I suck at writing them. I LOVE that I have people to help me. I haven't written my own blurb since Fighting for Love and hopefully will never write one again.

ME: Is there a certain type of scene that's harder for you to write than others? Love? Action? Racy?

ALISON MELLO: Action scenes can be tough but I think what gets hard after a while is making sex scenes interesting and different.

ME: Did you learn anything from writing your book(s) and what was it?
ALISON MELLO: Yes! Love Conquers Life and Once Broken both touch on PTSD more so with the Once Broken Series and I had to do some research. I learned that there are a lot of people and programs out there willing to help. There are also self-help tools available to people suffering from PTSD.

ME: Name one entity that you feel supported you outside of family members.
ALISON MELLO: My street team Mello's Militia and my reader group Alison's Army. Not to mention my PA and my two admins. My head betas reader Karen has been by my side from just about the beginning and wouldn't be who I am without each and every one of these woman in my life!

ME: Which famous person, living or dead would you like to meet and why?
ALISON MELLO: Wow...I have a ton of people I would love to meet. Rob Gronkowski from the New England Patriots. I have endless authors I'm dying to meet, some of which I will finally get to in the coming months when I attend signings.

ME: What is your favorite theme/genre to write about?
ALISON MELLO: Military! I have a new series releasing later this year. It's a military romance, Lexi is former Army Medic medically discharged and is trying to pull her life together.

ME: What is your favorite theme/genre to read?
ALISON MELLO: I have a few...not sure I could name one. Military, Romantic Suspense, M/M I think top my list.

ME: What secret talents do you have?
ALISON MELLO: I can fire multiple guns and rifles.

ME: If you had a superpower, what would it be?
ALISON MELLO: I would heal those who suffer from PTSD. It's awful to see people struggle with it.

ME: Where is one place you want to visit that you haven't been before?
ALISON MELLO: Australia

ME: How can readers discover more about you and you work? i.e. Website: Blog: Facebook: Twitter: Lnkedin: Pinterest: Amazon Author Page: Smashwords: Book Links: (* American, UK, etc.) Goodreads. Please include links or email them to me at vicber02@gmail.com
