Meet The author - BSM STONEKING

Welcome all.

Today I’m very lucky to be interviewing BSM Stoneking author of:
1.      Capture's Temperance
2.      The Vampires Ange De La Mort (book 1)
3.      Meet The Parents (book 2 in the Vampires Ange De La Mort series)

4.      Lena's Security
5.      Lena's Security -Day 2
6.      Cumming With Amy

ME: Hi BSM STONEKING, thank you for agreeing to this interview. Tell us a little about yourself and your background?
BSM STONEKING: I'm originally from a very small town in Iowa. No stop lights in our town and the speed limit is 20 mph, but it's the best place anyone could live in this flyover state!
During the day I run a dog grooming business and at night I write my stories, but not before playing "housewife" and getting dinner ready. I've been with my hubby since we were 16 and he is truly my prince charming, I couldn't ask for a better man!
I'm really big on forcing myself to step out of my comfort zone. That force is the only reason I am where I am today, or I would be stuck in a mindset of "I don't like change". By stepping out of my box I always find something new to write about, like jumping out of an airplane for example.
One thing I would want someone to know about me is that, occasionally I can be very quiet. It's not that I'm shy, I'm just observing. I like to adjust my personality to fit yours. If you're silly, bubbly, and corky that is the best version of me, but if you want to have an intelligent conversation, I'm all for learning new things and giving insight to things I'm confident on, like sex. Sex it my comfort topic. Let's talk about ways to spice up a relationship, and the new toys to try. If I'm super comfortable around you, you'll know it because I have the mouth of a
construction worker.

ME: What genre do you write?
BSM STONEKING: BDSM Romance, Supernatual Erotica, and 2 finger, 1
hand short stories

ME: What are you working on at the minute?
BSM STONEKING: Lena's Security - Day 3, and book 3 to my Vampires Ange De La Mort series

ME: Can you share a little of your current work with us?
BSM STONEKING: This isn't edited in the slightest, but here is a small teaser from book 3 of The Vampires Ange De La Mort:
“Wait a moment,” Dynasty says with a smooth voice. She’s been trying to circulate a calming feeling with her energy to keep the inner weres at bay, but it’s no longer working on Wes and Zev. “If we can’t pick up their scent, there has got to be a reason why. What if they are on a plane?”
“First off,” Wes gets in Dynasty’s face, “if they were at an airport we would fucking know. Second, how the fuck could they be storing hundreds of teens on a plane?” He taps the side of Dynasty’s head with his index finger. “Use your fucking brain woman!”
Dynasty’s eyes flicker blue, her hand instantly shifts as she wraps her clawed hands around Wes’s neck. In less than a blink, she has him pinned up against a wall with his feet dangling in the air. “I am trying to help you, mutt! Put your hands on me again and you won’t live to see your son returned!”

ME: Which actor/actress would you like to see playing the lead character from
your most recent book?
BSM STONEKING: For Capture's Temperance, I would love to have Victoria Justice play Temperance! I still can't find the perfect guy to play Capture, but I
think the readers like having their own celebrity-crush in mind for him :)

ME: While you were writing, do you ever feel as if you were one of the characters?
BSM STONEKING: More than any other character, I feel myself in Temperance. A lot of her story is my own personal struggles and the discovery of how BDSM is more than just a kink or fetish, it could actually save someone’s live. I can also greatly relate to Dallas from my vampire series. His multi-personality really matches me. I like to say I'm a chameleon, I will adjust my personality to fit yours.

ME: When did you decide to become a writer?
BSM STONEKING: I've been writing stories since I was a kid, but I never could have predicted I would be where I am today, having people love my stories enough to keep asking for more and doing book signings. It's all crazy, but in the best way!

ME: Which writers inspire you?

BSM STONEKING: Every author who can write a series without it going bland.

ME: Do you write on a typewriter, computer, dictate or longhand?
BSM STONEKING: I use the computer, my phone (mostly for saving thoughts), and I frequently use good old-fashioned paper.

ME: Do you work to an outline or plot or do you prefer to just see where an idea takes you?
BSM STONEKING: I'm a fly by the seat kinda gal. I listen to my characters, even if I'm not happy with the direction they want to take me. I was once told if you fight your character you'll hit writers block. I'm knocking on wood as I admit, I've never had writers block.

ME: Do you read much and if so who are your favorite authors.
BSM STONEKING: I truly wish I had more time for reading. Often times when I do read it's something educational. I'm currently on a kick of reading books about body language. What Every Body Is Saying by Joe Navarro has been the best so far.

ME: What book are you reading now?
BSM STONEKING: I'm on pause for reading at the moment and when that happens I pick up my Edgar Allan Poe, Complete Tales and Poems book.

ME: Do you think that giving books away free works and why?
BSM STONEKING: I think if you don't go overboard, it's a good idea, because it helps new readers find you.

ME: How do you relax?
BSM STONEKING: Watch the idiot box for a while. During the summer I like to sit in the sun and read.

ME: What is your favorite quote?
BSM STONEKING: You don't marry the person you can live with, you marry the one you can't live without.
I also love the quote, she who dies with the most shoes win! :D

ME: What advice would you give to aspiring writers?
BSM STONEKING: Oh my gosh the advice I could give could shut down the internet because of how long this would be. My top suggestion would be to finish three stories before publishing your first one. You'll learn a lot about yourself as a writer by not being over ambitions to hit the publish button.

ME: What does your writing process look like?

BSM STONEKING: Shoveling glitter into a rainbow. AKA a bit of a wreck. I have no real process other than, "paper, meet pen...let's create a story".

ME: What is your least favorite part of the publishing / writing process?
BSM STONEKING: Trying to figure out where the heck all those punctuation marks go. I'm truly terrible with spelling, grammar, and punctuation so I greatly rely on a good editor!

ME: Is there a certain type of scene that's harder for you to write than others? Love? Action? Racy?
BSM STONEKING: Hmmm, maybe action. I want my fight scene to play out like a movie and finding the right words to bring the vision to life in the readers mind can be challenging.

ME: Did you learn anything from writing your book(s) and what was it?

BSM STONEKING: While writing Capture's Temperance, I learned a lot about pushing my own personal limits, because I wanted to fully try everything before I wrote it in the book. One example would be e-stim, like the electric paddle that is in that book.

ME: Name one entity that you feel supported you outside of family members.
BSM STONEKING: My readers!

ME: Which famous person, living or dead would you like to meet and why?
BSM STONEKING: Jesus is famous, right? I'd like to meet him and get the real dets on this religious "stuff".

ME: What is your favorite theme/genre to write about?
BSM STONEKING: Supernatural! There is so much you can do with things that don't really exist, and yet we can't help but let the imagination wonder, what if they did exist

ME: What is your favorite theme/genre to read?
BSM STONEKING: True crime

ME: What secret talents do you have?
BSM STONEKING: I can talk like a chipmunk.

ME: If you had a superpower, what would it be?
BSM STONEKING: The power to heal others.

ME: Where is one place you want to visit that you haven't been before?
BSM STONEKING: Australia!! My hubby and I are certified scuba divers and we really want to dive the Great Barrie Reef.

ME: How can readers discover more about you and you work? i.e. Website: Blog: Facebook: Twitter: Lnkedin: Pinterest: Amazon Author Page: Smashwords: Book Links: (* American, UK, etc.) Goodreads.
BSM STONEKING:

Facebook     Website     Amazon      Barnes and Noble

Smashwords      Goodreads     Twitter       Instagram

ME: Is there anything else you would like to add that I haven’t included?
BSM STONEKING: Glitter is my favorite color; :-P

ME: Thank you very much for taking the time out of your busy schedule to take part in this interview.
BSM STONEKING: Thank you for offering to share all of this on your blog. That is very kind of you <3

MY REVIEW: Lena's Security: I received a free copy of this book and I am voluntarily giving my honest opinion. This is a new to me author and I am glad I got the chance to read her work. This book is very short almost like a one scene read but with that being said it is a smoking hot one scene, the idea of being caught for real is what makes it that much hotter. My only issue is that its a great plot and the author could have done more with the story line making the book longer. I would recommend this book to anyone that wants a 30 minute quick hot read.

MY REVIEW: Lena's Security Day 2: I received a free copy of this book and I am voluntarily giving my honest opinion. This is book 2 in the series and picks up where book 1 ends and tells the story of the next day at work for Lena and her two security guards. Again this is a quick but so hot 15 minute read and is perfect if you are looking for a short one really hot and steamy scene.
