Welcome all.
Today I’m very lucky to be
interviewing Paisleigh Aumack author of Love in Carson Falls.
ME: Hi Paisleigh, thank you for agreeing to this interview. Tell us
a little about yourself and your background?
PAISLEIGH AUMACK: I am from Jersey, and I am engaged to the love of
my life. Writing has been in my blood since I was young.
ME: What genre do you write?
PAISLEIGH AUMACK: Contemporary Romance
ME: What are you working on at the minute?
PAISLEIGH AUMACK: Reckless Outside Carson Falls-Book 2 in The Falls
Series
ME: Can you share a little of your current work with us?
PAISLEIGH AUMACK: Hmmmm.. Here is a small snippet. It is unedited
and subject to change.

When I first laid eyes on her,
there was no mistaking the inevitable fire we would set to each other. Her eyes
were the bluest I had ever seen in my life. Again, I wound up being a complete
asshole the night we met, and I ran out on her. Like I said, the list of how
much I sucked when it came to Penelope Sloane was extensive. Things were going
to be different this time. It would be right and we would have a foundation to
build from.
or this snippet...
She had entered the room again as
we were talking. Penny didn’t want conditions on the friendship, but hadn’t she
just put her own on it? Call me a horny bastard or whatever but if she was
putting the kibosh on the whole friends with benefits scenario, it was only
fair that I point out her stipulation as a condition of our friendship and
negotiate my own.
ME: Which actor/actress would you like to see playing the lead
character from your most recent book?
PAISLEIGH AUMACK: River (male lead) - Taylor Kinney or Chris Pine and
for Arianna (female lead) - Hayden Panettiere or Amanda Seyfried
ME: While you were writing, do you ever feel as if you were one of
the characters?
PAISLEIGH AUMACK: No. They talk to me. But they steal parts of me
if that even makes sense.
ME: When did you decide to become a writer?
PAISLEIGH AUMACK: I have always written in some shape or form.
Mostly music before though.
ME: Which writers inspire you?
PAISLEIGH AUMACK: All of them. In every genre. It is so amazing to
see how different people's minds are.
ME: Do you write on a typewriter, computer, dictate or longhand?
PAISLEIGH AUMACK: Computer and some longhand.
ME: Do you work to an outline or plot or do you prefer to just see
where an idea takes you?
PAISLEIGH AUMACK: I am a pantser. The characters guide me to where
they want their story to go.
ME: Do you read much and if so who are your favorite authors.
PAISLEIGH AUMACK: I do read when I am not writing but that is very
rare these days.
ME: What book are you reading now?
PAISLEIGH AUMACK: I started a re-read of CP Smith's Reason Series.
She is an amazing writer.
ME: Do you think that giving books away free works and why?
PAISLEIGH AUMACK: Sometimes. Word of mouth really is the best
advertising. You have to get the book into people's hands in order for them to want
more.
ME: How do you relax?
PAISLEIGH AUMACK: Writing and music. It soothes me down to my core.
ME: What is your favorite quote?
PAISLEIGH AUMACK: When you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot
in it and hang on.
~ Franklin D. Roosevelt
ME: What advice would you give to aspiring writers?
PAISLEIGH AUMACK: Don't give up. Motor through and you will get
results.
ME: What does your writing process look like?
PAISLEIGH AUMACK: A computer, chair, a Bluetooth speaker, and Bob
Ross.
ME: What is your least favorite part of the publishing / writing
process?
PAISLEIGH AUMACK: Editing. It is a much-needed torture.
ME: Is there a certain type of scene that's harder for you to write
than others? Love? Action? Racy?
PAISLEIGH AUMACK: Emotional scenes are harder for me because I get
caught up in them as if I was the reader instead of the author.
ME: Did you learn anything from writing your book(s) and what was
it?
PAISLEIGH AUMACK: I learned that not everyone will do for you what
you do for them, but it is up to you to be the better person.
ME: Name one entity that you feel supported you outside of family
members.
PAISLEIGH AUMACK: I have an author friend, she knows who she is,
that supported me and really went above and beyond anyone should in helping me.
ME: Which famous person, living or dead would you like to meet and
why?
PAISLEIGH AUMACK: Patsy Cline. Her music was KILLER!!!
ME: What is your favorite theme/genre to write about?
PAISLEIGH AUMACK: Romance.
ME: What is your favorite theme/genre to read?
PAISLEIGH AUMACK: I love all types but stick to romance mainly.
ME: What secret talents do you have?
PAISLEIGH AUMACK: I am a trained musician.
ME: If you had a superpower, what would it be?
PAISLEIGH AUMACK: Wish granting.
ME: Where is one place you want to visit that you haven't been
before?
PAISLEIGH AUMACK: Italy
ME: How can readers discover more about you and you work? i.e.
Website: Blog: Facebook: Twitter: Lnkedin: Pinterest: Amazon Author Page:
Smashwords: Book Links: (* American, UK, etc.) Goodreads.
PAISLEIGH AUMACK:
ME: Is there anything else you would like to add that I haven’t
included?
PAISLEIGH AUMACK: I'd like my readers, present and in the future,
to know that I love to interact with you. Message me, email, or post on my
wall!!! I love meeting new people too!
ME: Thank you very much for taking the time out of your busy
schedule to take part in this interview.
PAISLEIGH AUMACK: You are so welcome, but I should be thanking you.
